"When I was in Moscow Conservatory, I got up at 6am every morning, and went practice before my 9am class. The dorm was ½ hour away from school, I had to take the bus, get to school and LINE UP for practice rooms. You could only use the practice room for 2 hours. After 2 hours you have to come out and wait in line again. Then I practiced more in the afternoon after classes. But it was Moscow Conservatory, one of THE BEST conservatories in the world, and I was fully funded. Education and health insurance were completely free for me. No one ever told me to practice. I wouldn't imagine not practicing." - Dr Sultanov... Sincerely for those who have been complaining about the hardship of being a music major in California in 2013.
