While the whole country was on fire, million of wild lives were lost, even the sky weeped. As the rain finally fell, we mourn and grief for lost lives and ruined landscape.

Intermediate slow (well, mostly) jazz piece. **************** It's a love story. It's about a man fell in love with a woman at first sight, how his heart beats in the rhythm of the tune. It's like there is an untold story in her eyes - something dark and smooth, something mysterious and alluring, like a riddle hidden in the shadow of the night. Something enchanting and exquisite, something intimate, like she's the apple that was forbidden in Eden's garden. Something bewitching and hypnotizing, like alcohol is not the only thing that would make one drunk. She is a stranger, and yet, she's like a soulmate that he has since the past life. She is the secret that only lovers' would whisper to each other at night.

Dusk is the most mesmerizing, magical time of the day. Looking at the shimmering borderless ocean, reflecting the sun's last sparkling light, and breath in the night infused air under the endless purple sky, it is hard not to get sentimental.

The short miniature is highly romantic. It is also technically challenging - the 8th notes on the R.H. has to be even throughout, and a melody on the L.H. should be emphasized in the second half. It is perfect for intermediate students. It can be played as an etude and a romantic piece.
